Before attempting a world record in yoga, please read these official rules and guidelines provided by the Yoga Book of Records (YBR).

Rules & Guidelines – Yoga Book of Records

1. General Policy

Yoga Book of Records does not promote or accept records that may result in harm to property, people, animals, or public morality. Any attempt that involves danger, unethical behavior, or public disruption will be disqualified.


2. Safety Responsibility

YBR is not liable for the safety of participants or bystanders during any record attempt. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all safety protocols, legal permissions, and health guidelines are in place prior to the attempt.


3. Application Review Process

Record applications are reviewed by the official YBR panel and may take up to 30 days. Upon review, a unique Record Claim ID and attempt-specific rules will be issued to the applicant.


4. Guidelines During Record Attempt

  • Presence of a YBR representative is not mandatory, but a respected official like a District Magistrate, School Principal, or Gazetted Officer must witness the attempt.

  • At least one witness must be an expert in the relevant yoga category.

  • A minimum of two witnesses are required. Full details, signatures, and contact information of all witnesses must be submitted.


5. Documentation Requirements

Submit the following documents along with the claim:

  • Cover letter with full details of the attempt and participants

  • Completed witness forms and logbooks

  • Unedited video footage and high-resolution photographs

  • Media coverage (print, audio, video, online, newspapers)

  • Original newspaper clippings and attested copies of ID proofs (e.g., Driving License, PAN Card)


6. Certification Process

Certification will only be issued once all documents are verified and approved by the YBR team. All materials submitted become the property of YBR and will not be returned under any circumstances.


7. Media Rights

By submitting your application, you grant YBR full rights to use your record materials (photos, videos, names, etc.) in any media format without additional permission or compensation.


8. Public Record Attempts

Participants may attempt records in public places and are encouraged to invite local media for coverage. This can help support the authenticity of your claim.


9. Adjudication and Judging

All decisions made by the panel of YBR judges are final. No disputes or appeals regarding the final judgment will be entertained.


10. Submission Methods

  • Hard copies of the application form must be sent by post or courier only.

  • Online registrations are preferred. Fill the form at: www.yogaworldrecord.com

  • After filling, send the form and supporting documents to:

  • You may also apply for adjudication separately by submitting the adjudication form.


11. Email Submission

You may email your completed Record Application Claim Form to yogabookofrecords@gmail.com with your full name, address, and contact details clearly mentioned.

Record Evidence Checklist – Yoga Book of Records

Ensure your record attempt is properly documented with this official checklist from Yoga Book of Records (YBR).

Required Documentation for Record Submission:

  • Cover letter
  • Two witness statements
  • Photographs
  • Video footage
  • Media coverage
  • Additional evidence listed in the record-specific guidelines
  • Signed Agreement Regarding Supporting Materials
  • Translations of documents (where relevant)

Important Note:
Entry into Yoga Book of Records (YBR) and any record attempt is subject to full compliance with our Terms and Conditions as well as the record-specific rules and guidelines.

All applicants must thoroughly review these documents and sign the official Disclaimer Form prior to starting any attempt to be considered for inclusion in the YBR.

  1. Age Group A – 0 years to 06 years (Super Kids)
  2. Age Group B – 07 years to 14 years (Kids)
  3. Age Group C – 15 years to 25 years (Youngest Achievers)
  4. Age Group D – 26 years to 50 years (Adult)
  5. Age Group E –  Above 51 years to 70 (Old)
  6. Age Group F –  Above  70 years  (Oldest)
  7. Along with this, the records are divided into different categories for men and women.

  • To be eligible for an Attempt in this category the Participant undertaking the Attempt must be (upto 07) years of age or below at the time of Attempt.
  • Consent from a parent or legal guardian must be submitted, after such parent or legal guardian has read the Terms as provided and has read and signed the Disclaimer Form. The concerned parent or legal guardian, as the case may be, must have read and explained the specific rules applicable to that category of Attempt to the Participant.
  • Certain categories of records may not be permitted for Participants from this age group, as may be notified by YBR from time to time.
  • No endurance related activities will be entertained as Attempts under this age group. These include, without limitation, endurance cycling, endurance running, endurance riding and muscular endurance activities. Any Attempt that is detrimental to a child’s health, or is potentially dangerous, or is in violation of any law in force, shall not be considered for entry in YBR and is strongly discouraged.

  • To be eligible for an Attempt in this category the Participant undertaking the Attempt must be  (08 to 14) years of age or below at the time of Attempt.
  • Consent from a parent or legal guardian must be submitted, after such parent or legal guardian has read the Terms as provided and has read and signed the Disclaimer Form. The concerned parent or legal guardian, as the case may be, must have read and explained the specific rules applicable to that category of Attempt to the Participant.
  • Certain categories of records may not be permitted for Participants from this age group, as may be notified by YBR from time to time.
  • No endurance related activities will be entertained as Attempts under this age group. These include, without limitation, endurance cycling, endurance running, endurance riding and muscular endurance activities. Any Attempt that is detrimental to a child’s health, or is potentially dangerous, or is in violation of any law in force, shall not be considered for entry in YBR and is strongly discouraged.

  • A Participant undertaking an Attempt under this age group must be older than fifteen (15) years of age and younger than or eighteen (24) years of age at the time of the Attempt.
  • Consent from a parent or legal guardian must be submitted, after such parent or legal guardian has read the Terms as provided and consented to the same. The parent or legal guardian is also required to have read and consented to the Disclaimer Form and any other rules specified in relation to the category of Attempt, before any undertaking of the Attempt.
  • Certain categories of records may not be permitted for Participants from this age group, as may be notified by YBR from time to time.
  • Attempts that are detrimental to the health of such persons, or that are potentially dangerous, or that are in violation of any law in force, will not be accepted for entry in YBR .

A Participant undertaking an Attempt under this age group must be older than twenty four (25) years of age and younger than or fifty (50) years of age at the time of the Attempt. All such Participants must have carefully read and consented to the Terms, the specific rules and guidelines set forth in regards the Attempt, and must have signed the Disclaimer Form before engaging in the Attempt.

The Participant must be above seventy (70) years of age. All such Participants must have carefully read and consented to the Terms, the specific rules and guidelines set forth in regards the Attempt, and must have signed the Disclaimer Form before engaging in the Attempt. 

Record Evidence Checklist – Yoga Book of Records

This disclaimer outlines the rights, responsibilities, and limitations associated with submitting records to the Yoga Book of Records.


1. Right to Modify or Cancel
Yoga Book of Records reserves the right to extend, cancel, discontinue, or terminate any record category or attempt at any time. Entries may be rejected at the organization’s absolute discretion without prior notice or the need to provide a reason.

2. Legal Jurisdiction
All disputes related to the Yoga Book of Records will be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

3. Ownership of Submissions
All record entries, including supporting materials and documents, shall become the property of ABYM Yoga Book of Records and will not be returned.

4. Correction of Errors
In the event of any errors in printed publications or website content, the sole responsibility of Yoga Book of Records will be to correct such errors in the subsequent edition. This correction serves as the only remedy for such issues.

5. Limitation of Liability
Yoga Book of Records expressly disclaims all other liabilities, including incidental or consequential damages, whether arising from negligence, contract breach, or any other cause due to publishing errors.
