
The world record for the ‘largest number of people performing Veerbhadrasana (The Warrior Pose)‘ has been achieved by the ABYM. 2798 participants performed (offline & online) for one minute (00:01:00) on the occasion of 75th Indpendence Day and promote the powerful message: “Ek Record – Desh Ke Naam”. This program was organized by Akhil Bhartiya Yoga Mahasngh, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India on 15 August to 20 August 2022. To create a new yoga world record in the longest – mass yoga world record category.
In an incredible show of unity and discipline, 2,798 participants from across the nation came together to perform Veerbhadrasana, both offline and online via multiple social media platforms. Each participant held the pose for one full minute (00:01:00), making a powerful statement of strength, stability, and patriotism.
Veerbhadrasana, also known as The Warrior Pose, is a yoga posture that symbolizes courage, determination, and focus—qualities deeply embedded in India’s freedom struggle. The pose is named after the legendary warrior Veerbhadra, and it is often used to cultivate mental strength and resilience, making it a fitting tribute to the brave hearts who fought for India’s independence.
This event wasn’t just about setting a record—it was a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of India’s independence. It encouraged the youth to engage with yoga, not only as a physical discipline but also as a medium of national pride and cultural unity.
